Croquet is played on a flat grass lawn twice the size of a lawn tennis court. There are two main versions of the game: one is like snooker on grass and takes time to master; the other is a much more aggressive game and can be learnt in 10 minutes.
We provide a superb three lawn facility in central Tunbridge Wells, with our own clubhouse. See our Location page for parking and how to find us.
Visitors are welcome. Flat-soled shoes are essential, but we provide all the necessary equipment, including loan of mallets. See About Us for more details.
Come to one of our Open Days (first Sunday afternoons May to August) or on National Croquet Day which is usually in May for a free taster!
We have weekly informal and social club sessions with 10-25 members playing. Members can play at any time during our main playing season from April to September, with some limited playing during the rest of the year.
Membership for the first year costs just £50! (£35 after 1st August.)
